Platform Privacy Policy
Effective June 20, 2026 · Last updated June 20, 2026 · Housewell LLC, San Antonio, Texas
This Platform Privacy Policy explains how Housewell LLC (“Housewell,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the Housewell platform used by home-service companies (“Tenants”). It covers two kinds of data: (1) information about a Tenant and its personnel (where Housewell is the controller), and (2) information about a Tenant’s own customers that Housewell processes on the Tenant’s behalf (where the Tenant is the controller and Housewell is the processor/service provider). For consumers who are members of a Housewell-operated service, see the separate consumer Privacy Policy.
1. Controller vs. processor
For a Tenant’s account and business data, Housewell is the controller and processes it to provide the platform. For the personal information of a Tenant’s own customers (for example, the homeowners who book or subscribe through the Tenant’s site), the Tenant is the controller and Housewell processes that information only to provide the platform to the Tenant and on the Tenant’s documented instructions.
2. Information we collect
From Tenants: business name and contact details, account credentials, billing information (handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers), and usage and support information.
On a Tenant’s behalf (their customers’ data): contact details, service address, booking and membership records, service history and receipts, messages, and payment status. We process this to operate the Tenant’s site, booking, portal, billing, and any tool the Tenant connects.
Automatically: standard log, device, and analytics data needed to run, secure, and improve the platform.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the platform; to process payments and prevent fraud and abuse; to provide support; to send service and account communications; and to comply with law. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use a Tenant’s customers’ personal information for our own marketing.
4. Connected tools and data exchange
When a Tenant connects a field-operations tool (such as Jobber, Housecall Pro, or ServiceTitan), the platform exchanges data with that tool at the Tenant’s direction, for example creating customers and jobs from bookings. That exchange is governed by the Tenant’s authorization and by the third-party tool’s own privacy terms; we are not responsible for the third party’s independent handling of data.
5. Sharing and subprocessors
We share information only as needed to run the platform: with subprocessors that provide infrastructure and services to us under contract (for example, hosting/database, payment processing, and email/SMS delivery); with a tool a Tenant chooses to connect; to comply with law or protect rights and safety; and in connection with a business transfer. A current list of subprocessors will be published before public launch.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the platform and for legitimate business and legal purposes. On termination of a Tenant’s account, we make the Tenant’s data available for export for a reasonable period and then delete or de-identify it, except where retention is required by law.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including tenant data isolation, encryption in transit, access controls, and creating payment and money-state records server-side from verified events. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
8. Your choices and rights
Tenants can access and update account information in the platform and may request export or deletion of their data. Depending on where you and your customers are located, additional privacy rights may apply; we will honor applicable rights and assist Tenants in responding to their own customers’ requests.
9. Tenants’ customers
If you are a customer of a business that uses Housewell and you have a question about your personal information, please contact that business (the controller of your data). Housewell will support that business in responding. The Tenant is responsible for providing required privacy notices to its customers.
10. Where data is processed
We operate in the United States and process information there. If we later process information elsewhere, we will use appropriate safeguards and update this policy.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice and update the “Last updated” date.
